Our membership model provides swimmers with consistent coaching, structured training, and access to club benefits while supporting the long-term growth of the team. It creates a simple, predictable experience for families and allows Brazadas to provide high-quality programs, coaching, and opportunities for swimmers throughout the year.

Yes. Membership is month-to-month.

We require 30 days written notice to cancel. Dues are prorated when joining mid-month and prorated during cancellation periods as applicable. There is no option to pause membership.

Yes. White Team, Navy Team, and B-Team are competitive training groups, and swimmers are encouraged to participate in swim meets as part of their overall development. Competition helps swimmers apply the skills they practice, set goals, track progress, build confidence, and contribute to the team environment.

While occasional scheduling conflicts are understandable, regular meet participation is an important part of the Brazadas Swim Club experience.

Swimmers are assigned to a team by our coaching staff based on age, ability, and overall development.

White Team: Typically ages 6–12

Navy Team: Typically ages 11–14

B-Team: Typically ages 14–18

Please note that age is only one factor in placement. Coaches may place swimmers in a different team when appropriate to ensure the best training environment and long-term development.

Our coaching staff are the professionals responsible for swimmer development and progression. Division placement is coach-directed based on readiness, development, and long-term growth. We are always open to respectful conversations about goals and progression. Please reach out to your athlet's coach with concerns.

Yes. College swimmers are welcome to train with Brazadas during school breaks and summer months. Swimmers who previously trained with Brazadas may return at no charge. New college swimmers who have not previously been part of the club may participate for a one-time seasonal fee of $200.

No. USA Swimming annual registration remains separate. All swimmers age 18 and under participating in a competitive swim team must maintain an active registration.

Intrasquad meets and Brazadas Block Party meets are often offered free for Brazadas Swim Club members. These events are designed to give swimmers race experience in a fun, supportive environment, and some may be conducted under the USA Swimming Block Party format so swimmers can earn official times.

For most sanctioned USA Swimming meets, swimmers are responsible for their own meet entry fees. Meet fees vary by event and host club and will be published in the meet information when each meet is announced. Families only pay for the meets they choose to attend.

As an athlete incentive, Brazadas Swim Club will pay meet entry fees for swimmers who qualify for and compete at Futures, Junior Nationals, Nationals, or Olympic Trials. This incentive applies to meet entry fees only and does not include travel, lodging, meals, transportation, apparel, or other related expenses unless otherwise communicated by the club.

Yes. Current Brazadas Swim Club members may join the Brazadas Summer Recreation Team for a $100 seasonal add-on fee. Swimmers remain in their regular Brazadas training division (White Team, Navy Team, or B-Team) while also participating in Summer Recreation Team practices, meets, and activities throughout the season.

Yes. Active Brazadas Swim Club members receive 25% off all private training sessions. Private training provides individualized instruction and can be a great way to focus on technique, starts, turns, race strategy, or specific areas of improvement.

Yes. Families with multiple swimmers enrolled in Brazadas Swim Club receive the following monthly tuition discounts:

* First swimmer: Full price

* Second swimmer: 25% off

* Third swimmer: 50% off

* Fourth swimmer: Free

* Additional swimmers: Free

Family discounts are applied to swimmers within the same household and are designed to make competitive swimming more accessible for families with multiple participants.

Dues are prorated when joining at any time during the month. The initiation fee remains the same.

New swimmers receive a one-time welcome package that includes:

• 2 team suits
• 2 team t-shirts
• 1 team hoodie
• 1 stainless steel water bottle

These items are provided when a swimmer first joins Brazadas Swim Club and are not reissued annually. Swimmers who need replacement or additional gear may purchase team apparel and suits at any time through the Brazadas Team Store.

Swim team members who cancel and later wish to return must pay a $200 rejoin fee.

Rejoining is subject to program availability and appropriate training group placement as determined by the Brazadas coaching staff.
