Lilli Dorsett

Assistant Swim Coach

Lilli has been involved in competitive swimming for more than 10 years and continues her swimming career at Bakersfield College. Her many years in the sport have given her a strong understanding of the dedication, perseverance, and positive mindset needed to grow as both a swimmer and teammate.

During her first year competing for Bakersfield College, Lilli received the Renegade Award, which recognizes athletes who demonstrate hard work, maintain a positive attitude, and lead by example. She is proud to bring these same qualities to the pool deck as a coach.

For the past three summers, Lilli has coached recreational swim teams and taught swim lessons. Through these experiences, she has worked with swimmers of different ages and skill levels, helping them become more comfortable in the water, improve their technique, and build confidence.

Lilli earned her associate degree in Human Biology in spring 2026 and is continuing her education while competing for another season at Bakersfield College. She expects to complete an associate degree in Kinesiology in fall 2026 and an associate degree in Nutrition and Dietetics in spring 2027. As a nursing major, Lilli hopes to build a career centered on helping and caring for others.

As a Brazadas coach, Lilli brings patience, encouragement, and a strong work ethic to every practice. She strives to foster a love of swimming in every athlete and believes that, in an individual sport, learning to embrace the process is an important part of the journey toward success. She hopes to help swimmers develop not only their skills and confidence but also qualities that will serve them in and out of the pool, including discipline, resilience, integrity, and sportsmanship.
