Erin Sanchez

Head Coach

Erin Sanchez serves as Head Coach of Brazadas Swim Club, leading the club’s competitive program and supporting swimmer development across all ages and levels. Her primary on-deck responsibility is coaching the B-Team, while also mentoring the coaching staff and contributing to Brazadas’ Swim School, Swim League, and Masters programs.


Before joining Brazadas, Erin served as an assistant coach for the women’s swimming program at California State University, East Bay. During her tenure, the team won Pacific Collegiate Swim and Dive Conference championships in 2024 and 2026. Erin was named the 2026 PCSC Assistant Coach of the Year.


Erin previously spent nearly six years as Head Age Group Coach with the Chargers program in New Mexico, which trains swimmers in Albuquerque and Santa Fe. There, she led the development of competitive age-group swimmers, supported the club’s swim lesson program, managed home meets, and worked closely with athletes and families.


With more than 15 years of combined experience in coaching, fitness, strength and conditioning, and athletic development, Erin brings a comprehensive approach to swimmer performance. Her background includes serving as a Fitness Director, personal trainer, collegiate strength and conditioning coach, Masters coach, and NCAA swimming coach. She holds both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Human Performance from New Mexico Highlands University.


Erin believes successful coaching is about more than helping athletes swim faster. She is committed to developing the whole person, building meaningful relationships with swimmers and families, and supporting each athlete’s long-term journey. Her collegiate coaching and recruiting experience also allows her to guide Brazadas swimmers who want to continue competing at the college level.
